‘The master of the didn’t-see-that-coming twist’ LISA JEWELL
On her thirtieth birthday, Cate receives a card from her younger brother, Patrick. Play with me.

Thirteen years ago, aged fifteen, Patrick was jailed for the brutal murder of their father. Now Patrick has been released on licence, reformed and rehabilitated – and he’s keen to get to know his big sister again.
But Cate can’t take that risk. Because not only is Patrick a psychopath, but she fears she is too. And if she does play Patrick’s murderous game, she’s not sure if she’s more scared if she’ll lose, or if she’ll win…
