Nichola Raihani

Nichola Raihani is a Professor of Evolution & Behavior in the School of Psychology at University of Auckland and in the Department of Experimental Psychology at University College London. Her research focuses on the evolution of social behaviour in humans and non-human species and she was awarded the 2018 Philip Leverhulme Prize in Psychology for her work. Raihani is the author of The Social Instinct, which won the 2021 Humanists UK Voltaire Medal and the 2023 ZSL Clarivate Prize for Communicating Science. Originally from the UK, Nichola now lives in Auckland with her family and their dog.
